Dance and art are my passions. In 1984 I became a member of the Royal Academy of Dancing, London, by examination. I was educated on scholarship in modern dance at the University of the Arts (Philadelphia) and in museum studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology (magna cum laude). As a sophomore at the University of the Arts, I was featured in an award-winning documentary about Judith Jamison, The Dancemaker, which was nationally broadcast on PBS. As a senior, I was named the Outstanding Performer in the School of Dance and was also awarded the Dance Faculty Prize for the Outstanding Senior. From 2007 to 2015 I was the Operations & Finance Manager at Eyebeam, the leading art and technology center in the United States. In the six years prior I was the Registrar for the collections of paintings, collages, drawings and prints at the estate of the late abstract expressionist, Robert Motherwell. Since 2015 I have been the Financial Manager at Bruce Silverstein Gallery, an international art gallery whose focus is vintage and contemporary photography. I studied ballet with Janet Panetta for thirty years and was one of her assistants. I was a principal dancer in Henning Rübsam’s, SENSEDANCE from 1994 to 1998, and I have also performed the works of Janet Panetta, Scott Rink, Igal Perry, and Doris Humphrey, among others.
